Albany Housing Authority-HATAS Shelter Plus Care
HATAS Shelter Plus Care Program is a supportive housing program that provides rental subsidies and case management for homeless people disabled by mental illness in Albany County. Consumers are linked to treatment and community services and are encouraged to reach their highest level of independence and self-sufficiency. Life skill building and support are provided.

Eligibility
Homeless, a documented axis 1 diagnosis of mental illness, willingness to work with a case manager, and an income able to support oneself with a subsidy of 60% of one's income. Call for details

A county-wide application for services from Albany County Department of Mental Health, a recent comprehensive psychosocial assessment, verification of income (SSI award letter, DSS benefit summary, etc,) photo ID, birth certificate, and Social Security Card
