Families Work (FW)
Provides a home and community based program for families to help children who are at risk of placement or who are already in placement with a goal of uniting with their families. Services are personalized and based upon the issues creating the risk or that led to child's placement outside of the home. Clients are seen at least once a week in their home with a trauma-informed approach. Services can include but are not limited to parenting skill building; anger management; stress management; problem solving; safety planning; supportive concrete services; case planning and school consultation.

Referrals must come from the Schenectady County Department of Social Services Intake Unit, Family Support Unit or PINS unit
