Juvenile Fire Safety Services (JFSS)
Provides a a community-based prevention program provided by a clinical team with screening assessment, intensive in-home intervention and psycho-educational groups with youth and families residing in Rensselaer County, where a youth has engaged in fire-related behavior, or has expressed an elevated interest in fire. Services include family counseling, individual counseling, self-management education, decision-making, fire-prevention skills, and wraparound casework support for youth and parents/guardians.
Youth under the age of 18 in Rensselaer County who has engaged in fire-related behavior, or who has expressed an elevated interest in fire;
Youth from other counties can be referred for a fee-based assessment
