Parent Effectiveness and Intervention Program (PEIP)
Provides evidence-based curriculum to parents and/or guardians with home-based parent education and support by offering skills and tools to help reduce the risk of further maltreatment such as abuse or neglect. The goal is to help parents and/or guardians with interactions with their children and choice-behaviors. Services include a 12-week group with a clinician that facilitates which includes includes assessment, consultation, counseling, skill building and support. 8 weeks of the 12 include an office-based psycho-educational group and in-home intervention that focuses on specific parenting issues. This is offered to parents of children from birth to adolescents.

Eligibility
Families with at least one child ages 1 to 18 years, who is at risk of out-of-home placement, and/or where referral sources have identified a need for improved parenting skills
Application Process
Referral from the Columbia County Department of Social Services, probation, school, or other service providers
