Early Head Start (EHS)
Provides early, continuous child development and health education, encourages parental involvement in program governance, and supports the family through connections to community services. Provides low-income families living in the City of Schenectady with comprehensive family health, child development education, socialization, family empowerment, and family and community partnership services to pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers.

Eligibility
Residents of Schenectady County at or below poverty level who have child(ren) under the age of 3 or are pregnant; foster children and families who have Social Security Income are automatically income eligible; homeless families take precedence
