Provides a community and outreach center to help prevent relapse and sustain long-term recovery with peer-based recovery supports and services, support groups, social functions, and resource/referrals for local services.

Schenectady County Stop DWI Program

Focuses on law enforcement, prosecution, adjudication (court and probation), rehabilitation treatment, and public information in relation to issues of drinking and driving. Provides speakers and educational materials as well as a Victim Impact Panel. Runs Project Responsibility, an alcohol education class for underage offenders and those charged with providing them alcohol.

Student Assistance Program (SAP)

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is positioned throughout local school districts in Rensselaer County. Student Assistance Program team members are master level substance abuse prevention counselors who use science-based programming. This program is funded through New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.

Substance Abuse and Prevention Education Counseling

Works in the school classrooms to provide evidenced based programming that have been shown to reduce substance use. counselors work in several schools to help youth deal with issues leading to substance abuse such as truancy, poor learning skills, behavioral issues, or a family history of violence or substance abuse.

Victim Impact Panel (VIP)

Provides education and information to drunk driving offenders through a series of panel speakers, such as survivors/victims of drunk driving accidents, family members of those who have died as a victim to a drunk driver, etc.
