Offers immunization services for Albany County residents and college students. Outreach educational services are provided to professionals and to the community regarding vaccine preventable diseases, and risks and benefits of immunizations. Assistance and follow up with school immunization requirements, and surveys is provided.
The Warren County Immunization Program provides immunization clinics and administers vaccines. Disease prevention is the key to public health, as it is better to prevent a disease than to treat it. Vaccines prevent disease in the people who receive them and protect those that come into contact with unvaccinated individuals.
Montgomery County Public Health works to ensure that county children are fully vaccinated according to the recommended schedule. Vaccines are provided to eligible children. Adult vaccines are also available at a nominal fee. Annual adult influenza vaccine are also offered in the fall.
