Rabies Prevention Program
The Rabies Prevention Program has someone on duty 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This program investigates and monitors all suspect or confirmed rabies cases. Low cost dog-cat-ferret vaccination clinics are held throughout the county to protect pets. The community health nurses and community health worker provide education regarding rabies to schoolchildren. Twelve vaccination clinics are held at various sites in the county. Four are free rabies clinics for Montgomery County residents.
