The Care Links Program provides volunteers to work with people 60+, providing transportation, friendly visiting, help with shopping, telephone assurance, Respite assistance, Handy Helping, Information/Referral, and an Alzheimer’s Support Group.
Provides mental health counseling to individuals ages 5 years and older. Offers individual, family, and group therapy. Provides counseling for anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, family concerns, anger, and emotional issues related to ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
Offers mentors or peer allies that know someone who has been through recovery or that is recovery who can offer guidance to those looking for more community support.
The Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP) supplies people over 60 with counseling regarding Medicare A, B and D, QMB, SLMB, retiree health plans, other health insurance, medigap policies, long term care insurance, claim processing, EPIC, etc. THe Office for the Aging needs volunteers for its health insurance counseling helpline.
