The Maternal and Child Health goal is to improve the health of Warren County families with a particular focus on mothers, babies and children. Postpartum care and evaluation, newborn care, breastfeeding support, child health, health education parenting support and immunization.
Prevents epidemics and the spread of disease by providing immunizations and vaccinations, a rabies clinic, a flu clinic, HIV testing, tuberculosis screening, prenatal care, etc.
Montgomery County offers first-time mothers and high-risk mothers a home visit. During this visit the nurse gives guidance and information on parenting and baby care. A packet of topics such as immunizations, family planning, breastfeeding, formula preparation, and safety issues is given to the family. Referrals are made to other agencies as needed.

The prenatal programis designed to complement the care a pregnant client receives from their primary healthcare provider during pregnancy. The program is staffed by registered nurses who have experience assisting pregnant women during and after their pregnancy. The nurses provide education and health monitoring during the pregnancy as well.
