A registered dietician is available to address the needs of older adults who either have a newly diagnosed illness which requires them to alter their eating habits, or just need to discuss proper nutrition.
Presents programs designed to improve eating habits and to help participants gain a better view of the need for recommended vitamins and other nutrients. Questions and answers are part of the presentations and cooking demonstrations are occasionally included.
The Nutrition Education and Counseling Program provides a registered dietician who does nutritional education at all congregate meal sites, as well as one-on-one counseling if needed by clients.
