Transportation Services – Homebound Transportation

Homebound Medical Transportation provides transportation to seniors for medical or entitlement appointments. The Department will arrange transportation through a volunteer driver to medical appointments or special entitlement agencies (i.e. Social Security) for persons needing the service. Our dedicated volunteers will transport to appointments throughout Greene County, as well as to neighboring counties.

Trinity Center Food Pantry and Clothing

Assists individuals and families once or twice a month by providing enough food for 3 days for each member of the household. Other household items such as kitchen supplies, hygiene products, diapers, and formula are also available as well as seasonal clothing such as coats, and winter hats.

Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood

Offers reproductive health care and education as well as general women’s health care. Some of the services provided include birth control, pregnancy testing and options counseling, abortion care, breast exams, cervical cancer screening, and diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, and gender affirming hormone care.

Value Independence Accessibility (VIA)

Offers transportation service for people due to their disability or impairment, are unable to use regular route buses for some or all of their transportation needs. Service operates in up to 10 counties across urban, suburban, and rural areas of the Capital Region.
