Food Workers Certification Course

The Environmental Health Unit administers a ten-hour food worker certification course covering aspects of proper food safety principles, prevention of foodborne illness, and review of restaurant inspection. This is required for all new food service establishments in Schenectady County. One person from each establishment must attend the course and receive certification.

Provides an injury prevention program that includes assistance with safety seats for children, bike helmets for children under the age of 14, and fall prevention information for infants, children, and seniors.
